Safe exercises during pregnancy
Exercising when pregnant is important, but some activities are better than others for moms-to-be. Talk with your doctor about which exercises are safe, and together, you can create your pregnancy activity plan.
Safe exercises:
- Brisk walking
- Low-impact aerobics
- Stationary cycling
- Swimming or water aerobics
- Prenatal yoga or pilates
Acceptable exercises:
- Cross-country skiing
- Golf
- Bowling
- Hiking
- Jogging
- Racket sports
- Weight training
High-risk exercises:
- Downhill skiing
- Horseback riding
- Scuba diving
- Waterskiing
