Stress-free tips for nearing your due date
The big day is almost here! You’ve been looking forward to these last few weeks of pregnancy for eight months. Now that they’re finally here, you may find yourself busy with all the last-minute preparations or phone calls and visits from well-wishers. To keep stress and fatigue in check:
- Prioritize activities and cut out nonessential chores.
- Putting up new curtains in the nursery can wait.
- Sit down on the job. Folding laundry, washing dishes, and preparing food, are less tiring when you’re sitting.
- Limit socializing and ask family and friends not to call late in the evening.
- Explain that you’re trying to get plenty of rest before your baby arrives.
- Grab some extra sleep, if you can. Even a 15-minute catnap can be refreshing.
