Healthy Eating
Introducing your baby to whole grains early may help develop healthy eating habits.
When your baby gets older, MyPyramid for Kids recommends that half of her grain servings be whole grains. Why? Whole grains include all three parts of the grain: the bran, germ, and endosperm. The bran and germ are nutritional powerhouses, containing fiber, B vitamins, and antioxidants.
Eating foods rich in whole grains is an important part of a healthy diet. Consuming whole grains may help reduce the risk of chronic conditions, such as coronary heart disease, and may help with weight management. The fiber from whole grains also helps support healthy digestion.
It’s easy to incorporate whole grains into your baby’s diet. Start her morning with GERBER® Oatmeal & Banana Cereal and serve GRADUATES® LIL’ CRUNCHIES® snacks or GRADUATES® Puffs during snack time.
