Looking Ahead: 3rd FOODS® PUREES
As your baby makes the transition from sitting by himself to crawling, know that his eating skills will change just as quickly! Expect your baby to be more independent—holding a lidded cup by himself and pushing food away when he’s done. He may want to play with a spoon even though he cannot yet feed himself. He’ll also begin to move his tongue to push food from one side of his mouth to the other, plus use his jaw and tongue to mash food.
GERBER® 3RD FOODS® purees are just right for babies learning to chew and mash. Dinners, such as Chicken Noodle, have tender pieces for learning to chew. Plus, Dinners like Turkey, Rice & Vegetables and Mixed Vegetables & Turkey have a serving of vegetables in every jar.
Soon it may be time to introduce your baby to new textures during snack time. GERBER® GRADUATES® Puffs are great beginner snacks because they dissolve easily in your baby’s mouth.
As your baby becomes more aware of his food environment, make sure to set a good example. The eating habits he learns now can last a lifetime.
