Dividing duties with dad
Now that your baby’s here, you and your partner have formed a brand-new parenting team. Both of you should share the pleasures and responsibilities of parenthood. That means not only the loving and nurturing but the household chores as well.
A powerful team
Forget Supermom. You can’t possibly do everything, and if you try you’ll just wear yourself out. Instead, focus on creating a super team!
- Balance household duties so you each make a fair contribution.
- Let dad take over some of the feedings or bath times. This can be a special bonding time for dad and the baby.
- Set realistic expectations. As long as you provide a loving and safe environment for your baby, having a spotless house doesn’t matter.
