Question
What are the benefits of DHA & ARA for my baby?
Answer
DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) & ARA (arachidonic acid) fatty acids, or lipids, found naturally in breastmilk. They’re important components of your baby’s healthy brain and eye tissues.
Support for your baby’s developing brain is critical at this age. Neuroscientists have identified the first three years of a baby’s life as the time when her brain has the greatest potential for learning.
During the third trimester of pregnancy, Mom passes DHA & ARA to her baby. After her baby is born, Mom can provide DHA & ARA by breastfeeding or giving her infant formula with DHA & ARA.
