Caring for your baby’s teeth

Caring for your baby’s teeth

When your baby’s teeth make their debut, you’ll want to take good care of them. Pediatric dentists recommend cleaning your baby’s teeth every day to remove plaque and bacteria.

For infant teeth: Wipe your baby’s first few teeth and gums with GERBER® Tooth & Gum Cleanser. Unlike regular toothpaste, it doesn’t contain fluoride. Plus, it’s safe if swallowed. Apply the cleanser with our soft, flexible finger brush or soft gauze.

For toddler teeth: Try fluoride-free GERBER® Toddler Tooth & Gum Cleanser. Wait to start using fluoride toothpaste until your toddler is old enough to completely spit out the excess toothpaste after brushing. This is usually around age 4.

Did you know?

To prevent cavities never let your baby fall asleep with a bottle, either at nap time or at night. Otherwise milk may pool around the teeth, creating an environment for decay.
