START HEALTHY, STAY HEALTHY™ Nutrition Guide
As a parent you want the most current, reliable information to keep your child healthy. But sometimes that's hard to find, and it's not always easy to know where to go or whom to trust. That's why the experts who bring you GERBER® baby and toddler products and NESTLÉ® GOOD START® formulas have combined their knowledge of baby and toddler nutrition to bring you the Start Healthy, Stay Healthy Nutrition Guide.
This unique Nutrition Guide was developed from more than a decade of research, including the groundbreaking Feeding Infants and Toddler Study (FITS) conducted in 2002. It's also the result of studying the eating habits and developmental needs of babies and toddlers and evaluating that research with nutrition and feeding experts. Unlike any other resource, the Nutrition Guide offers nutrition and feeding guidance, products, and healthy menus all tailored to your child's development.

Based on Milestone Symbols™
We have created unique icons that we call Milestone Symbols to represent different stages in your child's development. This allows you to personalize the Nutrition Guide for your little one, using your baby's development to determine when to add foods from a new stage. While your baby is exploring new tastes and textures from a new stage, she can continue to enjoy foods from prior developmental stages. Learn more about Milestone Symbols.
Using the Nutrition Guide
The Nutrition Guide is a reference tool that includes nutrition and feeding guidance as well as suggested menus and information on common nutrition needs and gaps—all at your fingertips!
As you read through the Nutrition Guide, know that your baby doesn't have to get all nutrients in one day. She may be hungry one day but not eat much the next—it's okay not to be a member of the "clean-plate club." Be sure to follow your baby's hunger and fullness cues. As long as she has a healthy diet throughout the week, she'll get the nutrients she needs.
Also remember that your baby learns by watching you. If she sees you eating lots of fruits and veggies, she'll likely want to do the same!
