The goodness in fruit and vegetables

Fruits and vegetables contain phytonutrients, which promote health in a number of ways that scientists are still discovering.

It’s no secret that babies can be picky, so try these tips when continuing to introduce new fruits and veggies:

Try new with familiar
Offer new flavors along with familiar favorites. It could take up to 10 tries before your baby likes some fruits and veggies. You could try mixing a new flavor or a less liked flavor with one that is liked. Slowly increase the amount of the new flavor and less of the liked flavor.

Try all the colors of the rainbow
Different colored fruits and vegetables have different nutrients, so trying each color group will give her a variety of vitamins, minerals, and phytonutrients.

Top Tip

If your baby rejects a food, don’t give up. It can take up to 10 tries of a new food before she actually likes it. Variety is important in helping to accept new flavors.
