Milk-Based – ADD WATER
Directions for Preparation and Use:
Your baby’s health depends on carefully following the preparation, use, and storage instructions below. Ask your baby’s doctor about infant formula-feeding* including how much to feed and the need to sterilize (boil) water and preparation utensils before mixing formula. Powdered infant formulas are not sterile and should not be fed to premature infants or infants who may have immune problems unless directed and supervised by your baby's doctor.
Always wash your hands and utensils before preparing formula.
Pour desired amount of water into bottle. See chart below.
Add 1 unpacked level scoop (8.7 g) of powder for each 2 fl. oz. water. (Only use enclosed scoop. Separate it from frame.)
Cap bottle; SHAKE WELL. Feed your baby immediately OR refrigerate and use bottle within 24 hours. Once feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard.
Do not use microwave to warm formula. Serious burns may result. Warming formula above or using water warmer than 100°F (40°C), will compromise the benefits of the L. reuteri cultures.
Tightly cover open container and use within 1 month. Store open and unopened containers in a cool, dry place. Avoid extreme storage temperatures.

Understanding Your Infant’s Digestive System
Your baby's digestive tract is still developing throughout the first year of life. Bacteria are a part of an ecosystem within your infant’s digestive system called the microbiota. Establishing a healthy microbiota with good bacteria is important to your baby’s health.
Probiotics are good bacteria found in breastmilk and help to increase the good bacteria in your infant’s digestive tract.
Colic is relatively common among infants and all infants occasionally experience digestive issues. One of the potential causes of colic may be not having enough good bacteria in the digestive system.
Experts believe that different strains of good bacteria have different health benefits. The probiotic L. reuteri used in GERBER® GOOD START® Soothe formula has been clinically to reduce crying time by 50% in colicky breastfed infants.
