Milk-Based Powder Infant formula with Iron – ADD WATER
Directions for Preparation and Use:
Your baby’s health depends on carefully following the preparation, use, and storage instructions below. Ask your baby’s doctor about infant formula-feeding* including how much to feed and the need to sterilize (boil) water and preparation utensils before mixing formula. Powdered infant formulas are not sterile and should not be fed to premature infants or infants who may have immune problems unless directed and supervised by your baby’s doctor.
Always wash your hands and utensils before preparing formula.
Pour desired amount of water into bottle. See chart below.
Add 1 unpacked level scoop (8.9 g) of powder for every 2 fl. oz. of water. (Only use enclosed scoop.)
Cap bottle; SHAKE WELL. Feed your baby immediately OR refrigerate and use bottle within 24 hours. Once feeding begins, use within 1 hour or discard.
Do not use microwave to warm formula. Serious burns may result.
Tightly cover open container and use within 1 month. Store open and unopened canisters in a cool, dry place. Avoid extreme storage temperatures.

The first formula you feed your baby matters…
Breastfeeding is the best way to reduce the risk of your baby developing atopic dermatitis. If you decide to introduce formula, studies show that by starting with a formula made with 100% whey protein partially hydrolyzed, like GERBER® GOOD START® Gentle formula, may also reduce the risk of developing atopic dermatitis
What is atopic dermatitis?
Atopic dermatitis is a type of eczema and a common sign of allergy in infants.
The first and only qualified health claim for infant formula
For healthy infants who are not exclusively breastfed and who have a family history of allergy, feeding 100% whey-protein partially hydrolyzed infant formula, like GOOD START® Gentle formula from birth up to 4 months of age instead of a formula containing intact cow's milk proteins may reduce the risk of developing atopic dermatitis throughout the first year of life. The FDA has concluded that the relationship between 100% whey-protein partially hydrolyzed infant formulas and the reduced risk of atopic dermatitis is uncertain, because there is little scientific evidence for the relationship.
GOOD START® Gentle formula should not be fed to infants who are allergic to milk or infants with existing milk-allergy symptoms. Not for allergy treatment.
Only GERBER® GOOD START® has the Comfort Proteins® Advantage
100% whey protein partially hydrolyzed—our unique process to break down proteins into smaller pieces designed for your little one. Our Comfort Proteins may be more accepted by your baby's immune system than the whole (intact) proteins found in other routine formulas.
