This sample day meal plan was created by Registered Dietitians to help meet your Toddler’s nutrition goals. Your child may eat more or less—so be sure to always follow his hunger and fullness cues.

Breakfast

  • ½ cup low-fat milk (1%)
  • ⅓ cup toasted oat cereal
  • ⅓ cup cantaloupe melon, diced to ¼"


Mid-morning snack

  • ½ cup sliced banana
  • ½ cup low-fat milk (1%)


Lunch

  • ½ cup low-fat milk (1%)
  • 1 tray GERBER® GRADUATES® 2+™ Kid Selects—Cut Carrots & Green Beans
  • 1 tray GERBER® GRADUATES® 2+™ Kid Selects—Grilled Chicken Nuggets in Chicken Broth
  • 1 slice whole-wheat toast
  • 2 tbsp. ranch dressing
  • 1 tsp. margarine (on toast or vegetables)   


Afternoon snack

  • ⅓ cup sliced peaches, peeled and cut to ¼" dices
  • ¼ whole grain bagel with cream cheese cut to bite-sized pieces


Dinner

  • ½ cup low-fat milk (1%)
  • 1 tray GERBER® GRADUATES® 2+ Kid Selects™—Sweet Corn with Red Peppers
  • ½ hamburger on whole-grain bun with lettuce and tomato, cut to bite-sized pieces
  • ¼ cup sliced avocado, cut to bite-sized pieces
